nicco is a concept app designed to support families throughout their experience in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Partnering with the Brigham and Women's Hospital's NICU team and the Brigham Digital Innovation Hub, Partners Connected Health proposed a platform designed to make communication between parents and their newborn babies easier and more accessible, while preparing families for life after their NICU experience.

A Digital Bridge

Having a child in the NICU can be an emotionally exhausting experience that leaves parents feeling helpless, absent and desperate for information. With features like nic.cam, care team messaging, daily progress reports, peer to peer mentoring, and post-NICU preparation content, nicco works to shrink the gap felt between parents and their babies while strengthening communication between parents and their care teams.
